Magician Tony Steward has once again been supporting one of his favourite charities by entertaining VIPs and guests at a fundraising ball. The event at Orsett Hall in Essex raised thousands of pounds for The Dream Factory, an organisation which grants wishes for children with disabilities and life-limiting illnesses.
Nearly 300 guests attended the Monte Carlo themed event and were entertained by a line-up including X-Factor singer Lydia Lucy and acrobatic dance act Donovan and Rebecca.
EastEnders actor Terry Alderton hosted an auction including football shirts signed by Pele and David Beckham and other autographed items from Olly Murs and Kylie Minogue.
The Dream Factory founder Avril Mills has written to Tony to thank him for giving up his time to support the fundraiser.
She said:”We raised the totally fabulous amount of over £70,000 at this year’s ball, which is our best ever, and this will enable us to grant so many new dreams for all the deserving children.”
Tony says: “The Dream Factory is an amazing charity which has granted wishes for hundreds of children in the past few years.
“There is always a waiting list of children with special wishes so The Dream Factory’s work is never done. It’s a charity very close to my heart.”
